John Welburn - Principal

Mr. Welburn was born and raised in Southern California.  He moved to Utah to attend B.Y.U. where he met and married his wife Debbie and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Science. After graduating from the Y he took a teaching position at Kearns Jr. High. While teaching he earned a Masters degree from the University of Utah and then moved into administration.  He served as an Assistant Principal at Cyprus from 2000 – 2003.  He is glad to be back.  It’s like they say “Once a Pirate Always a Pirate!”   

Mr. Welburn enjoys sports - camping, fishing, skiing golfing and just about any other outdoor activity but most of all he likes spending time with his family.
