What is Granite High School now?
Granite is a small, non-traditional high school with literally no boundaries. All our students are here by choice. They come from diverse backgrounds and have chosen to come to Granite for diverse reasons. Some have come for the smaller, more personal student body and class sizes. Some have come for the greater opportunities that come from being a"big fish in a small pond". Some have come to make up credits they are lacking. Some have come to focus on school without sports and their accompanying distractions. some have come to take advantage of the special tutoring programs that Granite offers, Some have come because they have a hard time fitting-in in the social strata of a traditional high school. Granite has changed. We may not offer everything found in a traditional high school, but to some students we can offer more -- more of what they need, less of what they don't.
