1. New Business:
Business/Community Involvement: This committee meeting was dedicated to brainstorming methods of gaining greater business and community involvement in the school. Increased business and community involvement to improve the school has appeared in the minutes of multiple school reaccreditation committees. A lively and extended discussion of ideas and suggestions ensued during this meeting. Items suggested for further investigation and action included:
- School club/business partner welcome to Hunter High event at the beginning of the school year.
- Having business partners of the school showcase during parent-teacher conferences.
- Having student art and other projects displayed in public gathering areas. (example: Valley Fair Mall)
- Inviting business professionals to meet and compete with students in academic and technical challenges.
