Work Based Learning

The Work Based Learning Program provides us the services of Lori Smith who is the community networking specialist for the school. She devotes her time to creating educational opportunities for our students.

Those opportunities include:

An opportunity to make observations about a career by visiting the work-site, asking questions of a professional, and touring the facility.  This is usually a one time 2-4 hour experience.

*Conferences

*Presentations by Specialists

Click on "Seminars" or check-out the board outside the Career Center for upcoming Seminars.

We host a Job Fair in the early spring.  We invite businesses from around the valley and our local community to come to the school and visit with students about job opportunities.

Students learn and develop skills through active participation in organized service experiences. These experiences are coordinated between the school and community. We announce opportunities for community service several times a year. Volunteer service is a great way to gain experience and learn about areas of career interest. Volunteer service is a great addition to your resume when applying for college admission and scholarships. Contact Lori Smith for service opportunities.

Mr. Chip Hopkins and the Community of Caring program is also a resource of information about opportunities for community service participation.
