ASVAB at Skyline!

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Test Battery (ASVAB) is a well researched, and very valid and reliable assessment tool. It is used by the military for recruitment, but can be of great value to all students seeking to better understand their interest and aptitudes. In addition to teaching young people career exploration skills, the ASVAB Career Exploration Program can motivate students to learn more about themselves and the occupations they might find rewarding.

If you are interested in taking the ASVAB, please see Mrs. Palmer in the Career Center.

ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) Scholarships

ROTC scholarships are offered by the Army, Air Force, Navy/Marines. These scholarships were established to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as a commissioned officer in the military. In college and after graduation, cadets find that the training and experience they receive are assets-whether pursuing a military or civilian career. Employers place high regard on the management and leadership skills that ROTC instructors possess.

The military offers one, two, and four year scholarships. ROTC scholarships are not based on financial need. Instead, they’re awarded on merit. Merit is exhibited in academic achievement, leadership and extracurricular activities, such as sports, student government or part-time work. The competition is great—four year scholarships are awarded to the most outstanding applicants.

The scholarship includes the following:
• Partial/Full Tuition
