Mrs. Phelps came to Taylorsville High in 2006. Her students say that it is easy to catch her enthusiasm for English and for life in general. Originally from Colorado, she moved to Utah in 2004. Before moving to Utah with her husband, a student at the University of Utah Medical School, Mrs. Phelps attended the University of Northern Colorado. At UNC, Mrs. Phelps was a member of the collegiate women’s soccer team. She earned a B.A. in English and a minor is Visual Arts. In 2004, Mrs. Phelps made the decision to move to acquire her teaching license in Visual Arts and English in 2005 and she is excited to be involved in both academic areas and to be coaching the Taylorsville Girl’s Soccer team. Mrs. Phelps take pride in the fact the she met her husband in kindergarten; they have two beautiful dogs and they share a love for soccer, family and the beauty that Utah has to offer.
