Mrs. Boies is the counselor for students whose last names are from Crb - Her. She has been a counselor at Taylorsville since 2004. She was previously a counselor at Kearns High and Jefferson Junior High and an academic advisor at theUofU Division of Continuing Education. She has a M.ED. degree from the University of Utah in Educational Psychology and a B.S. degeree from the University of Utah in Health Science. She has also spent a semester at Cambridge University in England, received Spanish certification at Forest Hills in New York, and attended the North American Peruvian Cultural Institue in Lima Peru.

Mrs. Boies loves to travel and has lived in places all over the world. She states that she wants to go anywhere she hasn't been but she likes warm and sunny places best. She also likes to ski, walk, sail, swim and play tennis. She learned Chinese cooking (Imperial Peking) in the Phillipines.

Mrs Boies is in charge of AP Testing , Boys State and Differentiated Diplomas at Taylorsville. She is also a high school completion counselor at the Metro jail. She says she loves kids, especially teenagers. What her students like best about her is her cheerful smile, her vast knowledge, and the way she takes time to make each student feel important.
