Dr. Scheibe came to Taylorsville in 2002 but he has worked for the district since 1980. He received an M.S. Degree in School Psychology from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee in 1977. He later earned the Ph.D. degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Utah in 1995. He is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and has advanced and specialty training in Family Intervention and Trauma Work . When he is not working, Rick likes going to concerts. He loves rock, blues and most other kinds of music. He also likes hiking in the mountains, travel, theater, and books.
. Dr. Scheibe is involved with counseling, assessment, and intervention for educational, emotional and behavioral concerns. He also does family counseling for the district. He helps troubled students get appropriate referrals to community resources. He is at Taylorsville 2 days a week. Students must have parents signed permission to meet with Dr. Scheibe for counseling. What students like best about Dr. Scheibe is his easy going temperment and his ability to understand their feelings and accept them without being critical.

 

chnology Specialist. He manages the school library, manages all technology in the building and teaches Televison Broadcasting. What students like best about him is his great sense of humor and his ability to make everyone feel important.
