


Colonel Horton came to Taylorsville in 1994. He is intelligent, energetic and hard working. He Earned a B.S. degree in Speech form the University of Utah and an M.Ed. Degree in educational counseling from the University of Phoenix. He was commissioned through the University of Utah ROTC program in 1971. He spent twenty-two and one-half years in the military. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army.
His assignments included eight years of command from company to battalion level and various staff positions from battalion to theater army level. His duty stations include Germany (Heidelberg and Berlin), Saudi Arabia (Desert Shield and Desert Storm), and numerous places in the United States. (continued)
