Health Education (grades 10-12) (6450)
The purpose of this course is to provide students with information and skills,
which will improve their quality of life and help them develop healthier lifestyles
physically, socially and mentally. The emphasis is on developing healthy attitudes
and sound decision-making skills which will allow students to become better informed,
evaluate health practices, products and services, and make decisions now that
will contribute to healthier lives for the future.
Lifetime Sports 1-2 (grades 11-12) – Semester (6150)
Students develop skills in a variety of lifetime activities including dance.
Prerequisite: Fitness for Life (6130).
Weight Training/Conditioning 1-4 (grades 11-12) – Semester (6200)
In this course students learn the importance of weight training, the physiology
involved and methods of designing a personal fitness program. Prerequisite:
Fitness for Life (6130).
