Dance 1A (grade 9-12) – Semester (10011)
Students are provided with experience in dance technique and the development of physical strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination and total fitness. Students will expand their dance vocabulary and skills, and develop their creative abilities through improvisation, choreography, and performance. Students will also be exposed to the history of dance and its cultural origins. This class does not fulfill the P.E. Core requirement for graduation. This course is a prerequisite for all other dance courses.


Dance 1B-3B (grades 9-12) – Semester (10012-10032)
Students acquire physical, rhythmic and creative skills through dance activity. Work becomes more advanced as students progress through the program Classes must be taken in sequence. Classes do not fulfill the P.E. Core requirement for graduation. Prerequisite: Dance 1A (10011) or concurrent enrollment: Fi tness for Life (6130).


Dance Company (grades 11-12) – Year (10090)
This course is for advanced performing dancers. This class does not fulfill the P.E. Core requirement for graduation. Prerequi site:
Fitness for Life (6130) and audition. Elective Course
