


Mr Crowther came to Taylorsville in 1981. He is a strong student advocate and a dedicated teacher. In 1970 he received a B.A. Degree from Utah State university with a French major, a History minor, and a teaching certificate. In 1980 he received a M.Ed. Degree for the University of Utah along with a media endorsement. He taught 11 years at Olympus Junior High and then transferred to Taylorsville High the year it opened. During his teaching career he has taken hundreds of students to Europe every summer. He is a husband (His wife, Joan, is an elementary teacher.), father (He has 3 sons and a daughter.), and a grandfather (He has 7 grandchildren.). He has been the Foreign Language Department Chairman and a Foreign Language Teacher Leader for the Granite School District. He officially retired in Spring, 2004 but has continued to work at Taylorsville High on a limited every other day basis. He loves woodworking and has a shop where he makes furniture for his family and others. He also plays the guitar and has fun using it when he teaches French.

ology Specialist. He manages the school library, manages all technology in the building and teaches Televison Broadcasting. What students like best about him is his great sense of humor and his ability to make everyone feel important.
