Checking out books and materials

  • Students may check out 3 books at a time
  • Books check out for 3 weeks
  • Books may be renewed
  • Magazines check out for one week
  • $.05 fine for overdue books and magazines
  • Lunch library passes available from Mrs. Despain
  • Passes from teachers required during the day, teachers may send in three students at a time or sign up to bring the entire class.

The mission of the library media program:
to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information.
This mission is accomplished:
by providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats
by providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas.
by working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students.

Electronic Collection Includes:
42 work stations that can access research CD ROM's, the Internet, and Word Processing.
Print Collection Includes:
Online Card Catalog with more than 13,000 books, 2,000 videos and DVDs
