Social Study Classes

Student's grades are determined by the quality and completion of the following:

• Assignments-All assignments will be given in class and given a due date. After the due date, late assignments will only be accepted with teacher's approval.
• Current Events- Two current event forms must be turned in every week.One story must be about Utah and the other story must be about Government
• Tests- A test or quiz will be given at the end of each unit to check understanding of information.
• Prep Check- Students will need to show that they have their class supplies on selected dates.
• Journal -Students will spend five to ten minutes each day writing a response on a number of topics.
• Portfolio- Students will keep assignments that are completed throughout the year.
• Mind Expansions- Students will record what homework is done each night.
• Channel One/DEAR behavior- Students will get point for their behavior during Channel One or DEAR time.
