Jazz Band and Pizzazz are groups that meet before the regular school day 2 or 3 days a week. Jazz Band meets 3 days a week at 6:45 AM.. This group learns music in the big band idiom and the rules that apply to playing jazz. Pizzazz is our show choir. For the requirements for Pizzazz please see Mrs. Springman's web page. Since Jazz Band is not a class during the regular school day there is no disclosure for this class. Students will all be expected to wear their Band uniforms for concerts and other performances. Since we often play for community events and Festivals outside of the area they may have to pay $2-$4 for bus transportation on occasion. Students are expected to be on time for rehearsals and performances. This group is usually the very best musicians in the school and includes piano and guitar if capable students are available. Auditions are held the last 2 weeks of the school year in May. Auditions for needed parts are often on going throughout the year.
