Class Disclosure

This is an activity class, so you are expected to be in class and participate in physical activity.

**ALL STUDENTS WILL DRESS IN APPROPRIATE GYM CLOTHING! Each student is responsible for a white T-shirt , a pair of gym shorts or sweat pants, and socks and gym shoes that are tied. The following items are unacceptable: tank tops, sleeveless shirts, cut-offs, and denim shorts. T-shirts with unacceptable logos that violate the school dress code are also not acceptable. NO hiking boots, sandals, or bare feet. Wearing your school clothes is not acceptable gym clothing.

**DRESSING IS NOT AN OPTION IT IS REQUIRED!!!

NON-DRESS CONSEQUENCES :

1 non dress = A-
2 non dress = B
3 non dress = C-parent contact and ASD assigned.
4 non dress = D
5 non dress = F

A note from a physician is required to not dress or participate. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! If a student does not dress or participate in activity, make-up work may be required after-school. If there are medical issues or specific limitations, inform your teacher at the beginning of the course.

GRADING: All students are expected to dress and participate daily!
75% of the students grade will be determined by dress and participation.
*Participation includes proper behavior (See School Code of Conduct).
*Display a positive attitude and good sportsmanship!
*Show respect for school equipment and facilities and the property of others.
25% of students grade will be testing-- quizzes, skills testing, and assignments.

TARDIES: A tardy will be given for the following:
*Students must be out of the hall when the tardy bell rings.
*Students must be lined up for roll call 5 minutes after dress time.

SLUFFING:
*Leaving the gym where class is being held will result in a "U" or a sluff which eguals 2 ASD'S. You are not to leave the gym without teacher permission.
*Leaving the gym or not showing up for roll-call at the end of class will also result in a "U" or sluff or 2 ASD'S.
RULES:
*No food or drink is allowed in the gym-if you bring it to class it will be placed in the garbage!
*Stay in class until you are excused. No standing in the halls.
*Please keep your arms, legs, etc., to yourself-Respect others!
*No horseplay in the locker room.
*A $15 fine will be charged for hanging on a basketball rim.
*Do not enter equipment rooms or the teacher's office without permission.
*Backpacks will not be allowed in the gym.
*Return all equipment to your teacher in a timely manner.
*Anyone fighting or cheering on a fight will be suspended.
*If there are any circumstances in which you infringe on the safety of anyone else you will be sent home-No warnings will be given.

LOCKERS:
*Each student will be assigned a locker. You will need to purchase a combination lock. No key-locks will be allowed. The department will have locks available to purchase for $5.00. We recommend that you purchase a Masterlock.
*Students are responsible to lock up their personal items.
*DO NOT BRING YOUR VALUABLES TO P.E. Leave them in your hall locker!
*Bring personal items such as deodorant, etc., to store in your locker. No glass items.
