TECHNOLOGY-LIFE-CAREERS
DISCLOSURE STATEMENT
The TLC program is based on three important
standards: Self-Knowledge, Educational/Occupational
Exploration, and Career and Life Planning.
Throughout the Applied Technology
Education curriculum, students will explore many different occupations in
business, marketing, family/consumer science, and technology. Students will gain a greater understanding of
how the world works and what they can do to prepare for it. Additionally, students spend time gaining a
greater understanding of themselves. What
they like/dislike, wants, talents, abilities, and personalities. Students will spend approximately twelve
weeks with each teacher. Mr. Pedersen Business;
Ms. Sorensen/Ms. Litchfield Family/Consumer
Science; and Mr. Cockrell Technology.
CLASSROOM RULES
Be in assigned seat and ready to work when the bell
rings.
Do not use inappropriate language, behaviors, or
writings.
Do not, in any way, misuse the equipment.
When requested, give your full attention to the
instructor.

ASSESSING
Assessment of students is based on
participation, assignments, projects, and simulations. Late work will be accepted for five days
following the students return to class or making special arrangements with the
instructor.
