WRS Suggestions for the

Largest Paper Clip Flotilla

This record was approved by Alternative World Records on October 20, 2006.

Rules:

1) The maximum length of each paper clip allowed is 4 cm / 1.6 inches.

2) At least three people must participate in this record attempt, but there is no upper limit to the number of people who may be involved in attempting this record.

3) All paper clips must be placed by hand one clip at a time onto the surface of the water. (For instance, a person can NOT put the paperclips on a sheet of paper and then lay the sheet of paper gently in the water.)

4) There is no limit to the amount of time taken to attempt the record.

5) The area of water being used must be located in one place. (Using multiple locations--or several or many different bodies of water--is not acceptable.)

6) The total number of paper clips afloat in water at one time must be accurately counted and verified.

7) The name of the persons or organization(s) attempting the record must be given, along with the date and location where the record attempt was made.
