WRS Suggestions for the

Tallest Stack of Newspapers

Current Record Holder: Employees and Adult Workers of ATEC, Utah, under the direction of Paul Skousen, author of Mormon World Records. On June 15, 2005, employees and adult workers of ATEC, produced a stack of newspapers that contained 39,040 sheets of printed newsprint (measuring 20 inches by 25 inches) and reached 10-feet 2-inches high.

This world record is recognized by Mormon World Records.

Goal: Create the Tallest Stack of Newspapers in 4 Hours

Rules:

1) Newspapers may not be folded, and flat sheets must be stacked atop one another.

2) After exactly four hours the newspaper stack must be measured, and after being measured the newspaper stack must stand independently for at least 30 seconds.

3) The height of the newspaper stack must be determined by a precise method of measurement to 1/2 inch.
