of World Records for Student Groups and Schools World
Records for Schools (WRS) publicizes world records by student groups and schools
which are breakable, challenging, competitve, unique and verifiable. WRS particularly
emphasizes and recognizes world records which involve groups of students (of three
or more individuals) at public and private educational institutions.
At
the present time, there are several agencies that list, certify and/or publicize
world records accomplished by student groups and educational institutions. They
include:

World Records (GWR)
Alternative
[World] Records (AWR)
Ripley's
Believe It Or Not (RBN)
Mormon
World Records (MWR)
Open
Record Book (ORB)
World
Records Academy (WRA)
While WRS recognizes world records accepted and/or
authenticated by the above agencies or organizations, it only specifically publicizes
world records which do not compromise the health and safety of students and schools.
As always, schools should avoid sponsoring any record attempt that could jeopardize
the safety of
students and faculty. Also, WRS recommends that record attempts be conducted
during non-instructional time--such as after school has been dismissed or on holidays
or weekends, and that all profits from such record attempts be donated to appropriate
and reliable charities.
In

listed below. After contacting the agencies that endorse or certify these records
and carefully reviewing the rules and risks associated with these events, schools
