MESA's Mission
MESA's mission is to increase the number of underrepresented minorities and women who enter and succeed in math, science, engineering and related technical fields.

What Is Mesa?
MESA stands for Mathematics, Engineering & Science Achievement. MESA is a federally funded program to serve the needs of students in the areas of math, science and engineering/technology. MESA prepares students to succeed in a university environment and eventually in the competitive world of high paying careers. Students can apply for scholarships (through MESA) to the school of their choice during high school.. They also gain useful skills that will improve everything from study habits to eventually landing a high tech job.

To participate in MESA, a student needs to:
1) Attend club meetings, activities, field trips and special programs.
2) Maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5.
3) Include in their schedule college preparatory classes in math, science and English.
4) Participate in MESA tutoring sessions.
5) Have the support of their parents.
