Dedication
and hard work really do pay off.
Eisenhower
Junior High's principal Dr. Nancy Jadallah can speak volumnes about hard work.
She was recently awarded the National Association of Secondary School Principals
Dissertation of the Year Award.
"It was
truly an honor to be selected from a very large pool of national candidates,"
Jadallah said. "But the greater significance is that we, my colleagues in
Granite School District, now have hard data that shows all of our hard work at
the grassroots level paid off and that what we are attempting to do makes a difference
for kids."
Mayor Janice Auger thanked Jadallah
for her hard work with a city proclamation. "On behalf of the 60,000 citizens
of Taylorsville, Utah, [we] proclaim our gratitude and commendation for the service
Nancy has provided and for the excellent manner in which she performed ehr job,"
Auger siad. "We are glad to have her making a difference in Taylorsville.
Jadallah worked for six years on her doctoral degree.
Her dissertation, "The Relationship Between Middle Level Reform Elements
and Student Outcomes," showed a positive relationship between middle level
practices and their impact on student's CRT scores, grade point averages, citizenship
point averages and other achievement factors.
