Dress Code Guidelines
Students are expected to be dressed appropriately at school
and related functions. District policy indicates students are to be well-groomed
and neat. Appearance should not disrupt classroom activity and/or hinder
fellow students' participation in class. Shorts and skirts may be worn
to school if they are mid-thigh or longer. halters, midriffs, and tak
style tops are not permitted. All tops worn must cover the naval and shoulders.
Clothing advertising tobacco, gangs, illegal substances, or with obscene
or questionable print will not be tolerated. Clothing that is frayed,
torn, holey, or transparent may not be worn. Pants must be worn at the
waist. Students with inappropriate clothing will be required to change
at school or at home. Repeated offenses may require an after-school detention,
suspension and a meeting with parents.
Gym Clothes and Safety Glasses
No specific uniform is required for gym, but students
should bring comfortable, inexpensive shorts, T-shirts and supportive
rubber-soled shoes. Please clearly label all gym items including a towel
which each student must provide. Utah state law requires that all students
enrolled in industrial arts classes wear safety glasses (including 7th
grade TLC) These may be purchased for $2.00 a pair at the school.
