| Telephone: Call the Main Office at (385) 646-5164 between
7:15 AM and 3:30 PM. Office personnel will take a message to be delivered
to the teacher. Messages should identify your child and include detailed
contact information, such as home phone, cell phone, work phone and
times that you may be reached. Please make calls during office hours. |
| E-Mail: Most teachers prefer e-mail
because they can gather together information required to respond
to your question, and they can avoid "phone tag," which
is time-consuming for both of you. Click on the above link
Faculty/Staff then click on the email address next to their
name.
E-mail Hint: Always make the subject line
of your e-mail obvious - such as "Student Concern - Bobby Smith,
pd 2" - so it will be easily recognized by the teacher.
|
| Personal Visit: Many teachers are additionally
involved in before- or after-school clubs, sports, productions,
meetings and other activities. It is strongly recommended that
you contact a teacher by phone or e-mail to set up an appointment
so that time may be dedicated to your concerns. |

| Parent-Teacher Conferences: Parent-Teacher Conferences
generally are held in September and February. Click the above link
Calendar for specific dates. Conferences are a great
time to meet briefly with your student's teachers and set up any necessary
follow-up appointments for in-depth discussions. Due to the number
of parents involved and the lack of privacy, conversations at Parent-Teacher
Conferences should be brief. |
| Back-to-School Night: Back-to-School Night is usually
held before school begins (see school calendar). After a brief welcome
by the adminstrators and PTSA, parents and students will follow their
student's schedule for eight brief periods, meeting with each of the
teachers. During this time, be sure to find out each teacher's preferred
method of communication with parents and how they post homework assignments
(webpage, planner, etc.) |
