Welcome Mrs. Straatman
Evergreen has a new full time assistant principal. Christy Straatman started January 19, 2012 as the Evergreen Assistant Principal. A big thanks to Mr. Dyson for filling in for Mrs. Manwill who was out due to surgery and then retired just after the school year started. Give Mrs. Straatman a big Evergreen welcome when you see her and show her why Evergreen is the best junior high in the state.

Term Ends January 12
Hard to believe but the 2nd term will be over soon. Has it seemed like half the year has past? The last day of the term is january 12th and there is no school until January 17.

After School Tutoring
Tutoring for students needing help has started again. Any student can go to the Media Center after school from 3:00 to 4:00 and receive additional help. The tutors for 2011-2012 are:
- Mondays - Mr. Wadsworth
- Tuesdays - Mr. Soltis
- Wednesdays - Mrs. Phinney
- Thursdays - Mr. Flaherty
Staff Blogs
The teachers and counselors are now maintianing a weekly blog that should be updated every Friday. The blog will inform students and parents what happened in class during the week and give an idea of what will be happening in the next week. Some of the teachers will be uploading class materials and documents. These blogs can be accessed from the drop-down menu where is says "Staff Blogs" in the upper right corner. Choose a teacher (or counselor at the bottom) and if the blog does not open, click on the "GO" button.
