Text Box: Welcome, once again, to another or new school year at Hunter Junior High. As always, the beginning of the year is filled with a flurry of activities and an elevated sense of excitement and anticipation. I am happy to announce the addition of several new teachers and staff members: Michael Black, Marlissa Peake and Ann Wolsey in our resource department, Ben Johnson, social studies, Becca Linn, English Lisa Nichols, art, Jill Sundberg, math, Tiffanie White, CTE, Belinda Lee, 9th grade counselor and Donna Patterson, counseling secretary/registrar. They all come highly recommended and have already contributed

Text Box: greatly to our faculty and students. As a school, we are embarking on a journey; one that we hope will address student learning, improve outcomes and address remediation when necessary. We will be doing this through collaborative groups or Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). We will use our collaboration time to meet both as a whole faculty and in departments to look specifically at what we want students to know, how we know if they learned it, how we address those who aren’t learning and how to accommodate those who have. We will also continue to work on literacy skills
