Jo McCluskey - P.E.
Ms. McClusky was born in Livonia, Michigan. She attended Riley Junior High in Livonia. Her favorite subjects in junior high were English and P.E. She graduated from Central Michigan University where she studied Physical Education, English, and Indoor/Outdoor Recreation. She also has a strong mathematics background Ms. McCluskey taught physical education and swimming for 9-12 at Clarenceville High School, where she was head girls tennis coach, head girls track and field coach, and summer fastpitch softball coach. She also taught adult education. Ms. McCluskey married and moved to Utah in the early 80s. She worked as a Recreation Coordinator for the Park City Recreation Department. She had two children and stayed at home to raise them. She was divorced in 1994. She recertified at the University of Utah and SLCC in 1998, and substituted until she was hired. She has been teaching physical education, aerobics, and science since that time. She currently teaches Physical Education here at Hunter Junior High. She finished her health endorsement in the summer of 2004. She plans to stay in these two fields and stay at Hunter Junior High! Ms. McCluskey loves all sports and is very active with activities such as water skiing, snowmobiling, snow skiing, shooting, and archery. If she could go back to junior high and change anything, she would have more activities available to girls back then (Title 9 was not until the 1970s). Her favorites are: book, Gone for Good by Harlin Coben; movie (currently), Love, Actually; TV shows, Army Wives and The Starter Wife; sport, racketball; color, yellow; and food, Mexican (burrito, chili verde). Her son is a junior at Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont, California where he is on the Dean’s List and is a member of the soccer team. Her daughter has recently moved to California to save money so she can attend the University of Utah.

Brian Murray - P.E.
Brian Murray has taught P.E. at Hunter Junior High since 2005. He attended Utah State University with a Division I scholarship in Track and Field. He was an Academic All-American in college. At USU, he studied P.E. and Spanish. Mr. Murray was born in Murray, Utah and attended Oquirrh Hills Middle School in Jordan District. His favorite subjects in junior high school were science and P.E. If he could go back to junior high and change something, he would go back and work harder in math. (He received an A- three times in math which prevented him from getting a 4.0 the entire year.) As a teenager, he enjoyed horseback riding, bicycling, motorcycles, and archery. His advice for our students is: Excel at everything you do. His favorites are: book, Where the Red Fern Grows; movie, Forrest Gump; sports, basketball and football; color, blue; and food, Mexican.
