Benjamin Johnson - Social Studies
visit Mr. Johnson's Website

In case you didn't already know, Mr. Johnson is an alumus of Hunter Junior High! He says that he thinks that Mr. Walker still has his picture. After leaving HJH, (and after high school), Mr. Johnson attended the University of Utah and Westminster College where he studied social studies. He began teaching in 2007 in the Salt Lake School District and is now here at HJH. When he was a student here, his favorite subjects were shop, P.E., and seminary. If he could go back to those good old junior high school days, he would tell himself to start training for the Olympics (running). His advice for HJH students: "Stay in school, find a subject that you love, and pursue it all the way." His favorite are: book, The Screwtape Letters; author, C.S. Lewis; movies, The Star Wars Saga (all six movies) and Fiddler on the Roof; television shows, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager; song (currently), "When I'm Gone" by 3 Doors Down; singer, Bono; sport, soccer (especially the World Cup); color, blue; and food, really, really good seafood (Market Street Grill and up). He is married with two little boys. And his final thought for today: "Snowboarders are way better than skiers!"
