In your journals

1.   Put your name and period on the outside cover.
2.   Use roman numerals to number the first 5 pages. I, II, III, IV, and V.  Leave them blank for now we will use them later in the year. Put the page number on the outside bottom of each page.
3.   At the top of the next page, (page VI) write
   “Table of Contents” at the top.
4.   Keep numbering VI, VII, VIII, IX and X.
5.  After X start number the pages normally starting with 1 and going to the end of the notebook.  You should have about 60 pages.
6. This notebook should not be used for anything else.
7. Each time we use your journal you should add the entry to your table of contents.
