Philo Farnsworth Elementary in West Valley City was anything but calm after school ended in the afternoon Tuesday.

Families in the area turned out in droves to participate in the school’s Media Literacy Family Night sponsored by KUED. Students and parents were able to participate together in a number of literary activities spread throughout the school.

This collaborative approach to bring students and families together in education has had a ripple effect that will benefit students as they move forward in school.
