United Way of Salt Lake’s 21st annual Day of Caring is more than just a lot of white t-shirts; it’s about unifying the community to reach out and better lives through service.
All throughout the Salt Lake Valley thousands of volunteers rallied to participate in a slew of community projects totaling upwards of 36,000 service hours.
At The Gateway, volunteers stuffed backpacks full of school supplies to be delivered to children in need. Over at Granger Elementary, more than 200 volunteers showed up to read with students and facilitate literacy activities.
