We are in the business of public education, emphasis on the word “public.”
The schools belong to the community. As such, it is imperative that all stakeholders come together to plan and implement methods to improve student achievement.
Through school community councils, parents, teachers and administrators have a privileged opportunity to address the academic necessities of the school. Community councils analyze data, identify needs, set goals, and align resources to meet the needs of students at each school.
Even if you don’t plan to run for a spot on your school’s community council, it’s important to stay up-to-date with these crucial organizations.
