Students at Hunter Junior High School are one step closer to answering the oft-asked question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” thanks to a handful of professionals from the community.
Twenty presenters showed up during the annual Freshman Career Day to share important insights in fields such as aviation, engineering, cosmetology, the arts, emergency services, forensics, law, and nursing.
Each presenter gave details about their education, salary, future job outlook, and daily work duties to students who rotated in an out of seven different sessions of their own choosing. Some of the most popular sessions included a presentation from an FBI Secret Service agent, and welding station where students actually put on a safety hood and used a welding torch.
