I would like to nominate Jerry Haslam because he deserves to be recognized for the educational leadership he provides at Granger High School. Jerry is devoted to student success and shows it his support of new classes, promoting interventions, encouraging positive responses and expecting grades to reflect student effort and improvement. Jerry has accomplished great things at Granger High School.

I second that vote!
I was opening this item to do exactly what Liz has done…to nominate Jerry Haslam, Principal of the new, amazing Granger High School. He is an outstanding Principal, Leader, and all around great human being.
I have observed Jerry’s interactions with students, as well as our Staff/Faculty. I have found Jerry to consistently be a strong, extremely competent, and consistently compassionate Administrator.
Jerry excels while managing the micro, “one on one” relationships and tasks. In addition, he has shown mastery in the implementation/completion of macro level relationships and plans that require extraordinary amounts of time & focus. In my experience, I believe that “Corporate Leaders” would find themselves quite lucky to have Jerry Haslam as part of their team.
Finally, Jerry Haslam’s heart is invested in serving our youth, rather than corporate profits. I believe all of these attributes are evidence of Jerry’s being a tremendous asset to our community and District.
