Granite District students are constantly excelling in multiple academic and extracurricular pursuits. Here are two recent examples of our students in action:
Michael Rasmussen
Hunter Elementary third-grader Michael Rasmussen isn’t just focused on memorizing his multiplication tables and vocabulary; he’s determined to go the extra mile and master historical speeches.
Last year, Michael memorized the entire Gettysburg Address and recited the speech during the school talent show. He was recently asked to showcase his talents again in front of several Utah mayors (pictured)
Eric Mosteller
Eric Mosteller, and ninth-grader at Churchill Junior High, recently received the Larry Lott Best Actor award for his performance of Caliban from “The Tempest” and Kent from “King Lear” during the 2013 Shakespeare Competition in Cedar City.
Along with the award, Eric received a $500 scholarship to the Utah Shakespeare Festival’s Actor Training Program.
