If you could haul it, you could take it.
Friday was a perfect day for Granite Education Foundation’s Annual Parking Lot Sweep at the district warehouse.
Granite educators browsed through boxes of donated supplies stacked on pallets 6 feet high, then got really creative finding ways to haul their finds back to their classrooms. Some brought big trucks, while others just stuffed their sedans the best they could.
Each year, Granite Education Foundation accumulates stockpiles of donated arts and crafts materials, school and office supplies, decorations, games and puzzles, etc., to distribute to educators and staff throughout the district. The items are available on a first come, first served basis.
The foundation would love to hear from educators about how they are able to use what they were able to find in Friday’s sweep. They are asked to contact Granite Education Foundation either via their website, granitekids.org, or call 385-646-GIVE.
