Fifth-graders at Elk Run Elementary wore especially unique costumes this week; not for Halloween, but for an interactive American history “wax” museum.
Each participating student chose a historical figure (living or deceased), conducted research from multiple sources, developed a fact sheet of defining characteristics, and dressed up to mimic their chosen individual.
The result: Elk Run’s multipurpose room transformed into a makeshift wax museum where students and parents could learn about defining moments in the lives of American icons.
