Students at David Gourley and Oquirrh Hills elementary schools enjoyed an array of foods unlike they’ve ever encountered – at least, while in school.
The traveling A to Z Salad Bar from Granite Food Services made a stop at the two schools this week to introduce young students to the delectable tastes of more than 26 fruits and vegetables, one for each letter of the alphabet.
“By experiencing the colors and the variety with their peers, students discover fruits and vegetables they wouldn’t otherwise try,” said Food Services coordinator Bonnie Pentico.
