In an effort to thwart bullying at every turn, student body officers and cheerleaders at Eisenhower Junior High went from classroom to classroom to spread a message of empowerment.
Equipped with the Don’t Stand By … Be an Ally program, the student leaders shared powerful insights with all 42 classrooms over a three-day period.
“We can put a stop to bullying and combat the lasting negative effects it leaves upon our children by changing the peer culture that encourages bullying,” said Granite District intervention specialist Marci Taylor.
Eisenhower administrators will provide student-led follow-up presentations and announcements as a means of helping students continually look for opportunities to be allies to their peers.
