The Granite Education Center is many years removed from its days as a hospital, but that didn’t stop a GTI medical assistant teacher from providing some essential healing and excellent customer service.
Here’s the story from assistant custodian Helen Marshall:
“Today I cut my hand while opening a bag of salt. It was not bad enough for stitches, but it needed some TLC.”
“I went up to Michaela Morgan’s classroom and saw that her class had already begun. I asked her if she had any strips to close the wound. She said, “Yes; follow me,” and took me into her back room and fixed me up.”
“She closed the wound and bandaged my hand. She even had to go down to another teacher’s classroom to get some supplies.”
“She went above and beyond what she needed to do. She is a great person and really needs to be recognized for her outstanding caring and kindness.”
