This month’s Customer Service Star winner is someone who, as her principal put it, embodies the best of those that choose public education as their profession.
Unfortunately, when we went to deliver the Customer Service Star monthly prize to Carmen Thompson at Granger Elementary, we discovered she had taken a full time position outside Granite School District.
Still, we and the folks at Granger Elementary are thrilled to recognize her outstanding efforts, and Granger principal Amber Clayton will ensure to deliver her prize and let her know how much we appreciate her time in the district.
Here’s the original Service Star story:
For students and staff at Granger Elementary, there is one individual who stands out as a champion of public education. Here’s the story:
“Carmen Thompson is Granger Elementary’s parent liaison. She was hired for her exceptional translation skills, but we love her because she embodies the best of those that choose public education as their life’s work.”
“She is unfailingly positive. She continually goes out of her way to help Granger families.”
“She is constantly looking for ways to improve the experience of our families as they access the wide programming of our community school. Carmen is our heart!”
