Granite School District’s newest academic facility has received a special award for providing a unique environment that is conducive to exceptional learning.
Neil Armstrong Academy received an Award of Merit from the Utah Chapter of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International. The Apex Awards in Innovative Educational Environments are presented to new or renovated schools that “foster exceptional student engagement.”
Armstrong Academy was specifically designed to support a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) initiative for all its students. Everything from the architecture to the classroom tables denotes a devotion to the integration of STEM concepts into the core curriculum.
