Neil Armstrong Academy hosted Governor Gary Herbert and several prominent business and community leaders during the “STEM Utah: Curiosity Unleashed” kick off event.
The $2 million media campaign will involve a series of television, radio, Internet, and billboard ads aimed at encouraging students to pursue career fields in science, technology, engineering, and math.
Armstrong Academy students joined with some students from Morningside Elementary to listen to numerous speakers, including Gov. Herbert, former Miss Utah Kara Arnold, and former NASA astronaut and ATK executive Charlie Precourt.
“We need for all of you to become the next generation of problem solvers,” Precourt told the audience of students.
