Cottonwood High School is among 22 Utah organizations that will receive funds from Rocky Mountain Power to go toward community-based renewable energy projects as part of the Blue Sky program.
The school will use the funds to construct solar panels that will generate a portion of the building’s electricity.
Workers will begin installing solar arrays at the school in the coming months.
The Blue Sky funds, which total $1.8 million, are made available through Rocky Mountain Power customers who donate to the program.
