Thirteen GSD students representing the Granite Mountain FFA (Future Farmers of America) Chapter showcased their talents and won several awards at the State FFA Career Development (CDE) Event in Logan.
The CDE provides FFA members with an opportunity to practice career-based lessons taught in agricultural classes. The Granite Mountain FFA team received accolades in several categories:
Gold Ranking – Floriculture
Gold Ranking – Veterinary Science
Silver Ranking – Horse Evaluation
Silver Ranking – Dairy Cattle Evaluation
Silver Ranking – Poultry Evaluation
Bronze Ranking – Livestock Judging
Brooke Tatum of Taylorsville High School was the overall individual winner in the veterinary science category.
