The Utah State Office of Education has announced twelve elementary schools in Granite School District that will participate in the USDA Fresh Fruits & Vegetables Program for the 2014-2015 school year.
Students at the schools will receive individual servings of varied fresh fruits and vegetables twice a week for as long as funding allows. Servings in the past have included such items as mixed berries, kiwis and jicamas.
