Students at Beehive Elementary are the first kids in the state to receive personal copies of a new book that encourages students to dream big.
The book, Monte and the World of Possibilities, was commissioned by the Utah System of Higher Education, and will be shared by 4,550 Read Today volunteers all across Utah. The launch is part of the StepUP to Higher Education campaign, which aims to help students prepare for college.
Beehive Elementary students listened to a reading of the book by Lt. Governor Spencer Cox and heard from KSL’s Deanie Wimmer about the importance of reading and higher education.
For their longstanding participating in the Read Today program, every Beehive student was given a copy of the book for their own personal libraries.
