The Granite School District Human Sexuality Committee – a group composed of parents and district staff members – has approved a new program as part of the human sexuality curriculum.
The program, titled How to Avoid Falling for a Jerk (or Jerkette), was created by Love Thinks, LLC, and focuses on healthy relationship development for teens. The model for the course involves healthy ways to establish five key aspects of relationships.
The program will be taught to high school students as part of the overall health curriculum. The materials were approved by the Granite School District Board of Education during the December board meeting.
