Anjelus Lettig and Noel Munguia-Moreno were among a handful of Utah students to receive the 2015 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Leadership Award from the University of Utah. The two accepted their awards at a private reception ceremony at the University of Utah Alumni House.
Anjelus and Noel were chosen for their commitments to social action, positive change and building bridges among cultures and communities.
Both students are members of AVID, West Lake’s CARE Team, and hold leadership positions in their extracurricular activities. Anjelus is also the president of West Lake’s Dance Company, and Noel is the president of the school’s Latinos in Action club.
