Wheels and ice generally don’t go together amicably, unless you have a bit of friendly support.
With the help of their peers from several high schools in the Salt Lake Valley, students from Hartvigsen School, Jordan Valley School, and Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind had the opportunity to go ice skating last weekend as part of Opportunity Foundation of America’s “Ice Skating on Wheels” event.
For many of the participants, it was an outing with familiar friends who see each other multiple times a week thanks to collaborative efforts between Taylorsville, Olympus and Jordan high schools.
